UH! Ok, a few years ago I wanted to try sewing. I borrowed my mother-in-law’s sewing machine, which hadn’t been used for quite some time. I did pretty well with it at first and then needle broke every two seconds or got raffled up in the machine. I got frustrated and decided sewing wasn’t for me. (Although I wonder what it would be like to use a new modern sewing machine.) The last few days I’ve been looking into knitting. I printed off some instructional guides and trying to learn as much as I can. Today I finally made it over to our new Hobby Lobby and got some yarn and a couple needles. I got home and started trying to do the first steps for knitting. It wasn’t working, because I couldn’t tell exactly what it was saying to do. I thought, “Self, you know you usually do better to “see” someone do it.” So I went and found some knitting videos online and once again. Failure!! ACK!! I guess I’m not meant to knit either!! Should I try to crochet? My Granny crocheted amazing blankets and made it look so easy! For now…I’m gonna stick with the crafty stuff I’m good at. I’ll be tracking back to Hobby Lobby to spend my money more wisely. 🙂 I’ll let you know if I’m successful.
